Federal Communications Commission (FCC)
The United States Federal Communications Commission (FCC) regulates interstate and international communications via radio, television, cable, and satellite in the 50 states, the District of Columbia and U.S. territories. The FCC is an independent U.S. government agency with oversight from the U.S. Congress and is responsible for implementing and enforcing the laws and regulations related to communications in the United States.
Puerto Rico Telecommunications Bureau (NET, by its Spanish acronym)
Puerto Rico Telecommunications Bureau (NET) is the entity created to regulate and oversee the industry of telecommunications, telephone, cable TV and satellite TV in Puerto Rico, according to Act 213 of September 12, 1996, known as the 1996 Telecommunications Law of Puerto Rico, as amended, and Act 211 of 2018.
Puerto Rico Broadband Program
The Puerto Rico Broadband Program was established with the primary purpose of coordinating, authorizing, and executing the disbursement of local and federal funds allocated to Puerto Rico for the construction of broadband infrastructure on the island.
